He was just a little boy,

On a week's first day.

Wandering home from Bible school,

And dawdling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass;

He even found a caterpillar.

He found a fluffy milkweed pod,

And blew out all the 'filler.'

A bird's nest in a tree above,

So wisely placed up high

Was just another wonder,

That caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zigzag course,

And hailed him from the lawn;

Asked him where he'd been that day

And what was going on.

'I've been to Bible School ,'

He said and turned a piece of sod.

He picked up a wiggly worm,

'I've learned a lot about God.'

'M'm, very fine way,' the neighbor said,

'For a boy to spend his time.'

'If you'll tell me where God is,

I'll give you a brand new dime.'

Quick as a flash the answer came!

Nor were his accents faint.

'I'll give you a dollar, Mister,

If you tell me where God ain't.'

The U in Jesus

THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,

God stuck U in the name of His Son..

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,

You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,

For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.

It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand

He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,

And this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His Upward ascension,

He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

"Go into the world and tell them it's true

That I love them all - Just like I love U."

So many great people are spelled with a U,

Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,

He'd like them to know,

But it all starts with U.

Will YOU pass it on.

When Jesus died on the cross he was thinking of you!

Can You Sleep When the Wind Blows?

Years ago, a farmer owned land along the Atlantic seacoast. He constantly advertised for hired hands. Most people were

reluctant to work on farms along the Atlantic . They dreaded the Awful storms that raged across the Atlantic ,

Wreaking havoc on the buildings and crops. As the farmer interviewed applicants for the job, he received

A steady stream of refusals. Finally, a short, thin man, well past middle age, approached

the farmer. 'Are you a good farm hand?' the farmer asked him. 'Well, I can sleep when the wind blows,' answered the little man.

Although puzzled by this answer, the farmer, desperate for help, Hired him. The little man worked well around the farm, busy from

dawn to dusk, and the farmer felt satisfied with the man's work. Then one night the wind howled loudly in from offshore.

Jumping out of bed, the farmer grabbed a lantern and rushed ext door to the hired hand's sleeping quarters. He shook the

little man and yelled, 'Get up! A storm is coming! Tie things down before they blow away!'

The little man rolled over in bed and said firmly, 'No Sir. I told you, I can sleep when the wind blows.'

Enraged by the response, the farmer was tempted to fire him on the spot. Instead, he hurried outside to prepare for the storm.

To his amazement, he discovered that all of the haystacks had been covered with tarpaulins.

The cows were in the barn, the chickens were in the coops, and the doors were barred. The shutters were tightly secured. Everything was tied down.

Nothing could blow away. The farmer then understood what his hired hand meant, so he returned to his bed to also sleep while The wind blew.

When you're prepared, spiritually, mentally, and physically,

you have nothing to fear. Can you sleep when the

Wind blows through your life?

The hired hand in the story was able to sleep because he

Had secured the farm against the storm.

We secure ourselves against the storms of life by

Grounding ourselves in the Word of God.

We don't need to understand, we just need to hold

His hand to have peace in the middle of storms.

Someone dear to me sent this to me today,

And I enjoyed it so much, that I wanted to send it to you.

I hope you enjoy your day and you sleep well..

May God bless you!

Enough

ENOUGH:

Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged, and the mother said, 'I love you, and I pray you enough.'

The daughter replied, 'Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I pray you enough, too, Mom.

They kissed, and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?

'Well...I'm not as young as I once was, she lives so far away & has her own busy life. I have some challenges ahead, and the reality is - her next trip back will be for my funeral,' she said. 'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I pray you enough.' May I ask what that means? She began to smile. 'That's a prayer that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.' She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I pray you enough,' we wanted the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.'

Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

Then, she began to cry, and walked away.

They say, it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them.

.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE.....

To all my friends and loved ones,

I PRAY YOU ENOUGH.......

A young couple moved into a new neighborhood

The next morning while they were eating breakfast,

The young woman saw her neighbor hanbging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not very clean," she said.

"She doesn't know how to wash correctly, Perhaps

she needs better laundry soup."

Her husband looked on, but remained silent.

Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,

the young woman would make the same comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a

nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband,

"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly,

I wonder who taught her this."

The husband said, "I got up early this morning and

cleaned our windoows."

And so it is with life, What we see when watching others,

depends on the window through which we look.............................
